Square Enix has released a first look video for Final Fantasy X HD, showing off character models for the Playstation Vita version. Very little news has surfaced regarding this project in the past, so the video is a nice confirmation that Square Enix is still committed to releasing it. The video showcases the updated models for Tidus, Yuna, Bahamut and Yojimbo, all standing outside the Blitzball Stadium in Luca.

Shinji Hashimoto, notable for being the producer on the MIA title Final Fantasy Versus XIII, apologised for the delay and lack of information on the FFX HD project. Judging from the lack of news and the fact that only character models and not gameplay was featured, it’s likely that FFX HD has been on the backburner at Square Enix.

Still no news on expected release dates.
